The World Conference on Paleontology and Stratigraphy (WCPS2011) is an international conference held in order to celebrate His Majesty the King's 84th Anniversary on December 5, 2011. The conference is organized by the Northeastern Research Institute of Petrified Wood and Mineral Resources (NRIP), Nakhon Ratchasima Rajabhat University, Department of Mineral Fuels, and Changwat Nakhon Ratchasima, in cooperation with international museums, and domestic museums, universities, government agencies and private sectors. All aspects of paleontology, ranging from tiny extinct creatures to large marine and terrestrial animals, are welcome to be presented. The themes involve vertebrates, invertebrates, microfossils, plant fossils and associated subjects, such as biostratigraphy, lithostratigraphy and chronostratigraphy. Contributions related to technology in paleontology as well as fossil-site and museum management and fossil energy are also welcome. |
